Overview

Blob Bridge was my submission for the Gamedev.js Game Jam 2025. It started as a small, relaxed project—a break from more intense development work. Out of 416 entries, the game ranked 158th, earning a 3.4/5 rating for gameplay, which I’m quite happy with, especially since gameplay was always my main priority.

That said, due to time constraints, the gameplay wasn’t fully realized during the jam. After 2 months of iterative development, the full mobile version of Blob Bridge is now available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, bringing the original concept to life!

The goal of participating in the game jam this time round was to try out new game genre and also to test new game mechanics. Compared to previous attempts, I was more comfortable with the development workflow, but still lacking in making the gameplay feel good.

Out of 103 entries, the game ranked 16th, earning a 3.6/5 rating for gameplay. It’s a good attempt, hopefully I can get a 4/5 when I fully complete the game.

“Rolling Mind” is a mobile puzzle game designed to push the boundaries of your spatial cognition. Developed with insights from the National Institutes of Health, it focuses on mental rotation, a critical component of spatial thinking. Mental rotation entails envisioning objects from different angles in the mind’s eye. In “Rolling Mind,” players are tasked with navigating 3D objects along specified paths, challenging their capacity to visualize and manipulate spatial configurations.
